6.5 g (1 sachet) in 1 litre of drinking water for 20 pigeons.

The Chloramphenicol-N beverage should be prepared fresh daily.

Duration of application: 3 - 5 days, continued for 2 days at minimum after disappearance of symptoms. During the intervals loft must be cleaned carefully and then be disinfected with desinfectans.

 

Interactions with other preparations

There is a potential antagonism of chloramphenicol and chemotherapeutics with immediate bacteriostatic action e.g. ampicillin, tetracyclins. Do not applicate chloramphenicol-N and sulfonamides simultaneously.

 

  • Heavy disorders of the liver functions.
  • Do not use in food-producing animals.
  • Store in a cool and dry place.
  • Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
