Against bacterial infections of the gastro-intestinal tract.
- Contains an antibiotic of the penicillin group.
- Effective against gram positive and gram negative pathogens (eg. Salmonella).
- Especially well tolerated by young pigeons.
- Available in powder form for treatment via the drinking water and in capsule form for treatment of individual birds.

Ampicillin 3H20 57.75 mg (equivalent to 50 mg Ampicillin)

2 sachets per 1 litre of drinking water (20 pigeons) or 2 capsules per pigeon per day | 12 sachets are sufficient for 6 litres of drinking water or 100 capsules are sufficient for 50 pigeons |
If no improvement is observed after 3 days of treatment it is recommended to continue the treatment with ampicillin-t capsules only after having examined the sensitivity of the germs by making an antibiogram, if necessary the method of therapy has to be changed.
Contra-Indications
Side effects The use of penicillines and hence of ampicillin can induce allergic reactions.
